I seen joining the YATA committee as the Secretary as an opportunity to expand my contacts within the tourism industry and to become more involved with the organisation, after being a member for a few years. Being the secretary, I am also improving my administration skills, which is required in the work force I’m entering also. Currently finishing up a Bachelor of Tourism Management at Edith Cowan University, I am looking for a career in the tourism industry, and I am particularly interested in events management. Choosing tourism to study was easy. It was an interesting course and I have always loved to travel. To study this passion was what came next.
