Jessica Fronciani – Murdoch University Student Representative

Jessica was appointed to the YATA committee in May 2008 as a representative of Murdoch University and as such, ensures that any YATA members that are Murdoch students are taken care of. This involves ensuring that members receive the latest information from within the tourism industry and to give a helping hand in pursuing their career within this exciting industry. Not only this, there is also opportunity to interact with other YATA members from other universities and best of all, begin networking with potential employers. So get involved!

Cara Bradbury – Edith Cowan University Student Representative

Cara Bradbury joined the Young Australians Tourism Association (YATA) in April 2008. She is currently studying Hospitality and Tourism Management at Edith Cowan University. 

 As Events Coordinator for YATA, Cara is responsible for coordinating events held by and related to YATA and assisting Jaye (Events Manager) with the smooth running of Events organised by YATA.

Cara’s strong passion for the exciting and pioneering industry of tourism in Western Australia has lead her to become a strong team player for YATA – driving the ongoing growth and development of the Association. Proud and confident that YATA is educating today’s youth about the rapidly growing tourism industry, she looks forward to seeing what breakthroughs this modern and innovative organisation has to offer.

Catherine Swee - Curtin University Student Representative

Upon hearing that there was an opening on the YATA committee Catherine sawthis as a great opportunity to get an out-of text book perspective intothe tourism industry. Currently studying in Curtin, majoring in Tourismmanagement and marketing, Catherine will be completing early 2009. Hergoal is to undertake any jobs available in the tourism industry so asto experience all the various aspects tourism can offer. However hermain goal would be to work in the Events sector, as well as beingflexible to changes to her goals at the same time. As a Curtin Student Representative for YATA Catherine gives regularsemester speeches regarding YATA encouraging students to participateand to simply put oneself out there!
